– Baker lab Senior Fellow Chris King published two articles in PNAS on silencing of T-cell epitopes. Links to the publications can be found here and here.

– The IPD launched its WRF-IPD Innovation Fellows program. Read more about the Washington Research Foundation gift here on Crosscut.

– Baker lab members are participating in the 11th CASP competition (Cristical Assessment of Techniques for Protein Structure Prediction)

– The IPD was present at a Media Day event hosted by the UW’s Center for Commercialization (C4C). An interview from this event with IPD Translational Investigator Ingrid Swanson Pultz is featured here on King5 news.

Flu Finder Business Plan Competition 2014Flu Finder, a flu test developed by University of Washington graduate students (and IPD collaborators) won Second Place and Best Innovation Idea in the University of Washington Business Plan Competition. Read more here.

 

 

 

– IPD Translational Investigator Neil King, Baker lab graduate student Jacob Bale, and Baker lab senior fellow Will Scheffler published a paper in Nature entitled the ‘Accurate design of co-assembling multi-component protein nanomaterials“.

– David Baker gave a seminar on Translational Protein Design for the C4C’s UW Presidential Entrepreneurial Faculty Fellows Lecture Series. Watch the talk here.

– On April 16, 2014, the Baker lab initiated a “War on Ebola” program and engaged the Foldit community for help.    The picture below is of Aaron Chevalier and David La running the fluorescence activated cell sorter on candidate Ebola surface glycoprotein target.
